WhatsApp Pilot appends a short, store-branded link to the order confirmation. It opens the customer's Shopify order status page, the same page Shopify emails link to, and each tap is counted in analytics.
Why a short branded link
The Shopify order status URL is long and includes a token. WhatsApp Pilot creates a short link on your own store domain (for example your-store.com/apps/whatsapp-pilot/o/Ab12Cd34), which fits the message, looks like your store, and lets the app count opens. Automatic link previews by WhatsApp are excluded from click counts.
What the link opens
The Shopify order status page, which shows the order summary and, once the order ships, the fulfillment and tracking details Shopify has. It is not a courier tracking number by itself.
Privacy
The short link contains no customer data. It stays valid for up to 90 days and is removed when the app is uninstalled or a customer requests deletion.
